Auburn University

Auburn University fue fundada en 1856 como el este de Alabama universidad masculina, 20 años después de la fundación de la ciudad de Auburn.

En 1872, bajo la Ley Morrill, la escuela se convirtió en la primera universidad de concesión de tierras en el sur y pasó a llamarse Colegio de Alabama Agrícola y mecánicos. En 1899 el nombre fue cambiado de nuevo, al Instituto Politécnico de Alabama. Finalmente, en 1960 el nombre de la escuela se cambió a la Universidad de Auburn, un título más acorde con su ubicación, y la expresión de los variados programas académicos y más grande programa de estudios de una universidad importante. 

Hoy en día, Auburn es una de las pocas universidades para llevar la antorcha como una tierra, mar y concesión espacio universitario. Nuestra caída 2015 semestre la matrícula era 27.287. Nuestros estudiantes pueden elegir entre más de 140 opciones de grado en 13 escuelas y colegios en el pregrado, postgrado y niveles profesionales. 

Universidad de Auburn se ha convertido en una de las universidades más grandes del Sur, que permanece en la vanguardia educativa con su mezcla tradicional de las artes y la ciencia aplicada, y el cambio de las necesidades de hoy, mientras que viven con el respeto por las tradiciones y el espíritu que son Auburn.
